Holta Zaçaj: Decisions of the "Constitutional Court" are

The second volume of the guide to the Jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court was presented today.

In her speech, the President of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaçaj, stated that efforts to oppose or question the execution of Constitutional Court decisions not only undermine public trust in the justice system, but also destabilize democratic governance.

Zaçaj emphasized that the decisions of the Constitutional Court are neither advisory nor optional to implement, they are mandatory and their execution constitutes a constitutional obligation for all powers.

According to Zaçaj, the failure to execute these decisions only calls into question the Constitution and threatens the integrity of the rule of law, which requires all state institutions not only to respect court decisions, but also to act within constitutional limits.

"The authority of these decisions is not theoretical. Attempts to challenge or question the execution of Constitutional Court decisions not only undermine public confidence in the justice system, but also destabilize democratic governance."

Let us not forget, the decisions of the Constitutional Court are neither advisory nor optional to be implemented. They are mandatory and their execution constitutes a constitutional obligation for all powers. Failure to execute these decisions only calls into question the Constitution and threatens the integrity of the rule of law, which requires all state institutions not only to respect the decisions of the court, but also to act within constitutional lines. This is worth keeping in mind that when institutions, including judicial ones, create constitutional conflicts or act outside the constitutional framework, this undermines the legitimacy of the legal system itself and erodes public trust", declared Zaçaj./ CNA
