Denunciation/ Last flight to The Hague, why the government does not publish

The spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, in a statement to the media, made a denunciation regarding Rama's travels, identifying him as going to The Hague.

According to Vangjeli, Rama traveled to the Netherlands a few days ago to participate in the NATO summit, landing at Schiphol Airport in The Hague on a Gulfstream G IVSP VIP charter plane, with registration number TC-EMR (according to images published by the media).

Vangjeli says that this aircraft is not owned by the Albanian state and is suspected to have been rented at a cost ranging from $6,500 to $7,500 per flight hour, including fuel, crew, VIP service and private travel. The “TC EMR” aircraft is internationally known for luxury flights and is used by high-end clients.

It further emphasizes that, on January 30, 2020, the Directorate of Government Services entered into a cooperation agreement with Air Albania with the aim of providing special charter flight services for the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania.

According to point 3.1.6 of this agreement, Air Albania will make available to DSHQ the vehicle

Aircraft Air craft Airbus A319

Carrying capacity 32 people

Registration code TC -ANA

Years of use 20

Vangjeli underlines that payments vary according to destination and according to point 3.2.4, DSHQ undertakes the payment of the tax invoice issued by Air Albania.

According to media reports, when asked by BIRN, the Media and Information Agency stated that: "The Prime Minister has never paid and does not pay for charters, but has a framework agreement with the company Air Albania, in an average annual amount of the Prime Minister's annual expenses in previous years."

Vangjeli adds that Albanian citizens deserve clear answers regarding:

- Has point 3.2.6 of the agreement between Air Albania and DSHQ been implemented, given that the aircraft with which KM flew to The Hague is different from the one specified in the agreement, and if so, we request that Air Albania's written consent be published?

-What is the value of the flight for the KM trip to The Hague according to the respective tax invoice issued by the service provider?

-How much has been paid so far by DSHQ for KM charter trips?

-Since we do not find executed invoices in the treasury according to the nomination agreement dated January 30, 2020, what is the procedure with the payments in favor of the service provider Air Albania, which according to the spending data base from the treasury since 2019 until now, turns out to have benefited only 200 thousand lek for travel./ CNA
