Demolition of unauthorized constructions continues in Theth/Salihi: Also engaged

Along with the demolition of unauthorized constructions in Theth, the Municipality of Shkodra, with all its structures and enterprises, has undertaken an intensive action in the historic center of Theth, to restore the image and functionality of this iconic area of the Albanian Alps. So far, about 500 m³ of concrete have been evacuated and removed.

According to Altin Salihi, Director of the Public Services and Works Enterprise, the intervention will not stop until the center of Theth is restored to its previous state.

"Following the IKMT's action to demolish unauthorized buildings in the Theth area, the Shkodra municipality has engaged with all its structures and is continuing the cleaning of inert materials. Of course, it has started with the first demolitions, so in the historic center of Theth, near the church, all inert materials are being cleaned. Work that will continue in the coming days until completion," said Altin Salihi, director of the Public Services Enterprise.

Four work groups, 7 cranes, dozens of heavy-duty machinery, and over 60 trucks are in operation this weekend.

 This action aims not only to physically clean up the inert materials, but also to restore the identity and natural and historical values of one of the most important tourist destinations in the north./ CNA
