A day ago, the Shkodra Police denied that Molotov cocktails had been thrown at the vandals who were demolishing buildings in Theth.

According to the police, the explosives were thrown onto the bridge and not onto the platforms.

"Regarding a news item published in the media and social networks, that in the village of Theth, IKMT firefighting vehicles and a bridge in the "Gjelaj" neighborhood were attacked with Molotov cocktails, we clarify that:

At around 15:35, an unidentified citizen threw a bottle of fuel onto the road, attempting to burn a wooden bridge, but the police intervened to prevent it from completely burning. The bridge suffered partial damage from the fire.

We clarify that no firefighting vehicle was attacked with fuel and no material damage or danger to the lives of citizens or state service employees was caused.

The services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and those of the National Security Force are located in the area, in support of the structures of IKMT Tirana and IMT of the Shkodra Municipality, for the implementation of the plan for the demolition of unauthorized constructions in the village of Theth.

The investigation team continues its efforts to identify and capture the person who threw the fuel on the road.

"The police are determined to guarantee the safety of citizens and vehicles working in the area to demolish illegal constructions and appeal to residents not to carry out actions that hinder the legal actions of the structures operating in the field, as they will face the force of the law," the announcement said. 

But in fact, there is a video, the footage of which exposes the Shkodra Police.

The footage shows that Molotov cocktails were thrown at IKMT's police vehicles.

Thus, police officers are seen leaving the building at which a Molotov cocktail was thrown.
