Applications for admission to the State Police are open for 402 basic role

The State Police opens applications for admission to the State Police, for 402 basic role positions, for those citizens who have completed secondary education.

402 free quotas have been approved, of which 52 belong to competitors who were declared winners from the last application and were on the waiting list, while 350 quotas belong to competitors in this phase.

Applications are open from 01.09.2025 to 21.09.2025. It has also listed the criteria that candidates must meet.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

Any citizen who meets the following criteria has the right to apply to the local Police Directorates where he has permanent residence:

•be an Albanian citizen;

•be no more than 30 years old;

•be no less than 170 cm tall for men and no less than 160 cm for women;

•have completed secondary education (citizens who have completed higher education are not excluded);  

•not be excluded from the State Police, other national security structures or have been dismissed from civil service;

•have full capacity to act;

•be in good health and physically fit to perform the task;

•not be convicted by a final court decision for committing a crime or for intentionally committing a criminal offense;

•have proof of ability to drive a type B vehicle;

•meet the criteria of reliability and integrity.

APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION

Citizens who express their desire to be accepted into the State Police must submit to the Human Resources structures in the local Police directorates, no later than 21.09.2025, the completed application form, together with the following documentation:

•self-declaration form for employment in Police structures;

•decriminalization form;

•photocopy of identity card;

•diploma accompanied by a list of grades, certifying the completion of secondary education (notarized);

•photocopy of proof of driving ability for type “B” vehicle;

•Certificate of judicial status;

•family certificate;

•medical file (standard form);

•certificate from the court that he/she is not under trial for a criminal offense;

•certification from the prosecution that there is no criminal prosecution;

•certification from SPAK that it is not the subject of an investigation;

•request for payment of the application fee, which is obtained at the local Police Directorate.

STAGES THAT APPLICANTS GO THROUGH FOR ADMISSION

For admission to the police, applicants must successfully pass the following stages in descending order:

a) application;

b) verification and review of documentation;

c) health check-up;

d)written test;

e) physical testing,

f) oral interview;

g) verification of reliability and integrity, and taking fingerprints.

The applicant is disqualified and the competition process is terminated at any stage if:

a) does not apply within the specified deadline;

b) fails to submit the required documentation at the time of application;

c) does not meet the criteria set for acceptance as an applicant;

d) has declared false data or submitted forged documents;

e) is a drug user;

f) results in alcohol dependence;

g) does not pass the health check;

h) does not appear at the designated time in one of the competition phases;

i) is not evaluated with at least 50% of the points in each of the competition phases.

COMPLAINTS

Every applicant has the right to appeal at any stage of the process.

The appeal is made via e-mail, to the address [email protected], within 2 days from the date of notification for each phase of the process. The Appeals Commission notifies the applicant within 5 working days, regarding the decision taken.

WHERE CAN I FIND APPLICATION FORMS?

The application form, self-declaration form, decriminalization form and medical file are downloaded from the official website of the State Police or physically collected from the local Police Directorates. The completed documentation is submitted to the local Police Directorates, where the applicant has permanent residence, by 21.09.2025.

HOW LONG IS THE TRAINING?

Applicants who successfully pass all admission processes are declared winners if they are ranked within the quotas announced for the competition.

The winning applicants undergo training at the Professional College of Police Training at the Security Academy for a period of 9 months (6 months of theoretical training and 3 months of practice at police structures).

IS EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEED?

Every applicant who completes training at the Professional College of Police Training, at the Security Academy, is immediately appointed to the police structures where he/she applied.
