"Rejoice, do not be afraid"/ The strong messages of the Metropolitan

The Metropolitan of Korça, His Grace Joani, has conveyed strong messages for peace, on the eve of the Orthodox Easter.

Grace John, in his message, states that in these difficult times where conflicts, injustices, despair and uncertainty prevail, the only consolation for all of us is our faith in the Resurrection of God.

"In these difficult times for the whole world, where conflicts, injustices, despair and uncertainty prevail, the only consolation for all of us is our faith in the Resurrection of God, with the promises and with the unwavering hope that the final victory belongs to of evil, but of good, not of war, but of peace, not of falsehood, but of truth, and not of death, but of life. This is the victory that overcomes the world, this is our faith (1 Jn. 5:4). Just as Christ was raised from the dead, by the glory of the Father, so we are all called to walk with Him in the way of eternal Life. This is the clear teaching of God's word for us on the power and meaning of the great and glorious event of the Resurrection of Christ", says Grace John.

Another important message from the Metropolitan of Korça, Hirësi Joani, is "Rejoice, do not be afraid and Peace be upon you".

"Experiencing the Resurrection is a process that begins with the shock and then continues with the great joy of the most important news in human history, it will give us courage and strength to carry the cross of Christ in our lives, which is the only key that opens the door to the Resurrection", says Hirësi Joani.

He is not here, because he rose... (Mt. 28:6). When they heard these words of the angel, the women, who had come to anoint the body of Jesus, quickly left the tomb with fear and great joy, to give this news to His disciples (Mt. 28: 8). But these words seemed to them to be foolishness (Lk. 24:11) and some of them were surprised and others doubted. Confronting the reality of the Resurrection, with the empty tomb, caused a great shock, as for the first witnesses of the Resurrection , as well as for the apostles, because a dimension that was never experienced before was opened before them. But the Risen Lord appeared to them and said: Peace be upon you, as well as Rejoice and do not be afraid.

The first words of the resurrected Lord: Rejoice, do not be afraid and Peace be upon you, transformed fear into joy, wonder into clarity and doubt into unwavering faith, which empowered the apostles to spread the Good News throughout the world. So it is with all people who will seriously face the awakening dimension, experiencing it. At first they will be shocked, but then they will hear the words of God who tells us not to be afraid, but rejoice, words that will change both them and their lives. Even the lives of many others who are around them, because anyone who is illuminated by the light of Christ also illuminates others. Meeting the Risen Lord will always bring a joy that cannot be expressed in words. The students were happy when they saw God, St. John testifies (Jn. 20:20).

Përjetimi i Ngjalljes është një proces, që fillon me tronditjen dhe pastaj vazhdon me gëzimin e madh të lajmit më të rëndësishëm të historisë njerëzore, do të na japë kurajë dhe forcë për të mbajtur kryqin e Krishtit në jetën tonë, i cili është vetmi çelës që hap derën e Ngjalljes. Në këto kohë të vështira për të gjithë botën, ku konfliktet, padrejtësitë, dëshpërimi dhe pasiguria mbizotërojnë, ngushëllimi i vetëm për të gjithë ne është besimi ynë në Ngjalljen e Zotit, me premtimet dhe me shpresën e patundur, se fitorja finale i përket jo të keqes, por të mirës, jo luftës, por paqes, jo gënjeshtrës, por të vërtetës dhe jo vdekjes, por jetës. Kjo është fitorja që e mund botën, ky është besimi ynë (1 Jn. 5:4). Ashtu si Krishti u ngjall prej së vdekurish, me anë të lavdisë së Atit, ashtu edhe ne të gjithë jemi thirrur të ecim bashkë me Atë në udhën e Jetës së përjetshme. Ky është mësimi i qartë i fjalës së Zotit për ne mbi fuqinë dhe kuptimin e ngjarjes madhështore dhe të lavdishme të Ngjalljes së Krishtit.

Ngjallja, siç e quan Shën Athanasi i madh, është monumenti i gjallë i Krishterimit. Ajo është mbarimi i veprës shpëtimtare të Krishtit dhe fillimi i shpëtimit tonë. Prandaj kremtimi i Pashkës është kaq i mbushur me gëzim dhe përhap një dritë ngushëlluese dhe shpresëdhënëse në zemrat dhe në jetën tonë, duke i kënduar me ngazëllim lavde dhe himne Krishtit të Ngjallur: "Le të gëzohen qiejt, le të gëzohet toka dhe le të kremtojë festën e gjithë bota, e dukshme dhe e padukshme, sepse Krishti u ngjall, o gëzim i përjetshëm", këndojmë në Kanonin e Pashkës.

Por, për të qenë pjesëmarrës të këtij triumfi përfundimtar të Krishtit mbi vdekjen, me ndihmën e hirit të Perëndisë, ne duhet që në këtë jetë tokësore të pranojmë dritën që na është dhënë nëpërmjet Krishtit, për të ndriçuar dhe pastruar mendjen dhe zemrën dhe për të mposhtur në veten tonë çdo vepër të keqe dhe çdo pasion të errësirës. Vetëm në këtë mënyrë ne mund ta shohim dhe ta përjetojmë thellësisht realitetin e Ngjalljes. Lum të pastrit në zemër, sepse ata do të shohin Perëndinë – na thotë Zoti (Mt 5:8). Prandaj, Kisha, në urtësinë e saj, na parapërgatit për tu takuar me Zotin e Ngjallur me anë të një periudhe të gjatë kreshme, meditimi dhe përpjekjeje trupore dhe shpirtërore për t'u bashkuar në Ngjalljen e Tij.

Ky përjetim duhet përhapur kudo, sepse ky është lajmi i mirë dhe ky është predikimi i Kishës. Nëse nuk do të ishte Ngjallja – thotë Shën Joan Gojarti - atëherë si mund të ruhej e vërteta e Zotit, kur kaq shumë njerëz të këqij lulëzojnë dhe kaq shumë të mirë vuajnë dhe e përfundojnë jetën e tyre në vuajtje? Ku e marrin shpërblimin e drejtë të gjithë këta njerëz, nëse nuk ka Ngjallje? Prandaj, gëzimi dhe drita që mbushin shpirtin dhe zemrën e çdo njeriu, që beson dhe përjeton Ngjalljen, nuk mund të qëndrojnë të fshehura, sepse duhet të zbulohen me lavdi veprat e Perëndisë (Tb. 12:11). Madje kjo dritë rritet vetëm duke e bashkëndarë atë me të tjerët, përndryshe ajo do zbehet dhe përfundimisht do të zhduket. Vetëm duke pasur zellin dhe dëshirën e zjarrtë për ta përhapur këtë dritë kudo ku ka errësirë, ne besojmë me të vërtetë në ngjalljen e Krishtit dhe në dritën që rrezatohet nga ajo, dritë e cila na mbush me paqe, me shpresë dhe me gëzim.
