Doha Forum 2025/ Minister Sala meets with Qatari counterpart

The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Evis Sala, held a meeting today with the Minister of Public Health of the State of Qatar, Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud, within the framework of the Doha Forum. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the health sector, exchanging best practices and identifying areas with potential for joint projects.

During the discussions, Minister Sala emphasized that healthcare transformation is the main challenge for Albania, identifying three strategic priorities:

 • Improving the management of health services, with the aim of increasing quality and access for patients.

 • Integration of social welfare and health services, to build a unified and effective model of care for citizens.

  • Digitalization and development of artificial intelligence in healthcare, as the basis for a modern and sustainable system.

The Minister emphasized that the country needs to build the architecture of digital systems that ensure interoperability, an essential component for the efficient functioning of the sector and for the development of advanced AI applications in healthcare. She underlined that this transformation will serve as the basis for a sustainable, integrated and innovation-oriented healthcare system.

Both ministers expressed their willingness to continue institutional cooperation and agreed that the technical teams of the two countries would work in the coming months towards concretizing new joint agreements and initiatives.

The Doha Forum, which this year was held on December 6-7, 2025 with the theme: Justice in Action - Progress Beyond Promises and with a focus on health, finance and global challenges, is a global platform for dialogue, bringing together political leaders to discuss the critical challenges facing our world and to build innovative and action-driven networks. /CNA
