US Special Operations Forces Europe train with Albanian army at Zall Herr base

Special Operations forces assigned to the US Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) conducted a readiness exercise with the Albanian military at the Zall Herr military base last week.

The US Embassy has shared footage from the exercise, emphasizing that the aim of this exercise is interoperability to ensure rapid and effective response to potential crises and operations in the region.

“Under cover of darkness and in coordination with our Albanian Allies, Special Operations Forces assigned to the U.S. Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) conducted an emergency deployment readiness exercise at the Zall Herr military base last week. The Special Operations Forces arrived with two CV-22 Osprey aircraft, in a low-visibility operation at night. The exercise tested the unit’s ability to deploy rapidly, ensuring they are ready to respond quickly and effectively to potential crises or operations in the region. The exercise also strengthened interoperability and reinforced our shared commitment to security and cooperation,” the Embassy emphasized./CNA
