The General Directorate of Road Transport Services has notified drivers today that as of this Tuesday, the Certificate of Professional Training (CAP) is automatically included in the driving license.

Through a press release, DPSHTRR announces that from August 19, 2025, the application of an important innovation begins that significantly simplifies the process for all drivers who hold a Professional Training Certificate (CAP).

"In line with the best European standards, the CAP will no longer be issued as a separate card, but will be automatically included in the driving license, being reflected as Code 95 in the same document," the announcement states.

Citizens will no longer be provided with a separate CAP card, and all data will be reflected on the driving license, where Code 95 will be marked.

Also, application and renewal will be made according to the procedures for obtaining a CAP and will be reflected in the driving license.

This step complies with European Union standards, where Code 95, as a unique code for the CAP, is reflected in the driving license, a practice followed in several European Union countries.

New applicants will benefit by no longer paying for the CAP card, while renewing drivers avoid additional costs and keep everything in a single document. /CNA
