The students of the “Kolë Idromeno” school in Shkodër will soon be learning in new premises, according to all modern standards. Thanks to the investment of the Ministry of Education and Sports, this educational institution is undergoing a complete transformation, which includes the reconstruction of the interior and exterior spaces, laboratories and sports fields, the renovation of electrical and plumbing installations, the air conditioning system, accessibility for students with disabilities, as well as new furniture, adapted to the modern image of the school. The works are progressing at a rapid pace and are expected to be completed before the start of the school year.

During the inspection of the works, the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, underlined the government's commitment to providing modern conditions in every educational institution.

"In Shkodra, the education construction sites are progressing very well. Shkodra, in these two years, has been supported by the Albanian government through investment projects in schools and sports fields. 7 million euros have been dedicated only to school infrastructure, while we are working to equip them with science laboratories, intelligent laboratories, and the 'Kolë Idromeno' school is also part of the SmartLabs project, because we are starting the next phase where 654 SmartLabs will be invested in schools, which for the first time also include high schools, so that students can develop their potential in terms of digital skills. Shkodra deserves it, the citizens deserve it, the teachers and students deserve to have modern conditions", said Minister Manstirliu.

The “Kolë Idromeno” High School is one of several educational institutions in the Shkodra Region where investments have been made. The Ministry of Education and Sports will continue investments in the pre-university education infrastructure in Shkodra, such as the reconstruction of the 9-year school “Ismail Qemali”, the 9-year and high school in Bushat, the 9-year school “Migjeni” in Puka, the “Tom Alimhilli” kindergarten in Shkodra, as well as the reconstruction of the gyms in the high schools “Dodë Kaçaj” in Bajzë, “28 Nëntori” and “Tring Smajli” in Shkodra.

Nationally, 40 new educational and sports facilities, including 22 new schools and 18 gyms and sports fields, will undergo the process of reconstruction and reconstruction./ CNA
