Fires in place/ Points that remain active and under monitoring

The National Civil Emergency Operations Center (QKOEC) at AKMC reports 5 fire outbreaks, of which: 3 outbreaks are active, and 2 outbreaks are under monitoring, as follows:

1. The fire in Ternovo, Zerqan administrative unit in Bulqizë municipality, is being monitored by 7 MZSH officers to eliminate any possibility of reactivation from the burning of dry logs within the fire.

2. The situation continues to be monitored in the villages of Kulumri and Lumi i Trunit in the municipality of Fushë-Arrëz. During the morning hours, a reassessment of the situation was made and work is currently underway to see if there are any active fires, as well as to isolate the stumps that continue to burn. 50 forces of the Armed Forces are engaged in the field, which have been divided into two groups with the aim of bringing the fire under control and finally extinguishing it. Currently, the situation is calm and the flames have been extinguished, but work is continuing to guarantee the complete isolation of the fire.

3. The fire source on Mount Bërzhitë in the villages of Ibë and Durisht in the administrative units of Bërzhitë and Petrelë is located in very remote terrain and difficult to intervene from the ground. Currently, it does not pose a threat to homes or the forest area.

4. The fire that started on 10.08.2025 in the villages of Damjan and Isufaj in Tirana and spread since 13.08.2025 to the Pezë - Helmë area, continues to be active in several minimized foci, but which are being kept under surveillance until finally extinguished.

5. In the Gërmenj Natural Park, the Leskovik administrative unit of the Kolonjë municipality, the situation appears calmer as a result of the work of the operational forces but also due to the rainfall that fell yesterday afternoon./ CNA
