"Seven witnesses will be questioned"/ Here's when the next

The next hearing for the "Partizani" file will be held on the 30th at 12:30. The lawyer of the leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, spoke to the media after leaving the Special Court, where he said that the first seven witnesses will be questioned in the next hearing. Regarding the summoning of Prime Minister Edi Rama as a witness, the lawyer said that it was a necessity.

"The court did not accept the evidence we presented about Rama and his appeals on this issue. This is an unfair decision because the court said we will express ourselves regarding the political cloak of this issue in the final decision."

The court refused to accept the CD with our claims that this is not a legal issue. Summoning the Prime Minister was a necessity that cannot be ignored. We will wait for his testimony. The hearing was postponed to the 30th, at 12:30 to question the first seven witnesses. We have been dealing with this issue for two years and we know the position of Balla and Rama. When we made the requests for their summons, we were clear why we were asking for it and we also have the questions ready.

"Mr. Berisha cannot prove that he has another procedural position. At other times his presence will be necessary. We have not yet received the minutes, where all the details of today's decision-making are, because the decision was too long in relation to all the evidence and subjects of this process", said Gjokutaj.

The investigations into this file have resulted in the indictment of 8 people, including Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi. Against them, the GJKKO has imposed the security measure "compulsory appearance". We recall that the trial on the merits of the "Partizani" file has begun in the Special Court. /CNA
