The Director General of Prisons, Klevis Qosja, during his speech at the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense, stated that the leader of the Liberal Party, Ilir Meta, has not been prohibited from any meetings or telephone conversations.
Qosja said that Meta, since the day of his arrest until today, has made 3,600 telephone communications. He further mentioned an incident where he said that disciplinary measures were imposed after Meta connected 'live' to a television studio.
"The security measure of arrest with imprisonment, of course, has some restrictions on life outside. No meeting with Mr. Meta has been prohibited. No telephone communication has been prohibited. To date, 3,600 telephone communications. There was an incident related to a communication that appeared in a studio, for which a disciplinary measure has been imposed. Not everyone who has a security measure can appear in a media outlet and say whatever they want. Mr. Meta has been treated with dignity according to the laws," said Qosja. /CNA
