We remind you that during today's meeting, Berisha presented the draft law for the removal of the statute of limitations for the criminal offenses of corruption for the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, presidents of the assembly and former officials.

Berisha emphasized that this draft law works like a time mine.

"Today, I have brought here the draft law which I have publicly spoken about in parliament in various debates and which has to do with removing the statute of limitations for the Prime Minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, presidents of the assembly and the above-mentioned former officials.

The first article says: Criminal acts of corruption for the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers, assembly presidents and former civil servants are not subject to the provision.

Article 2: This law enters into force 15 days after its publication in the official gazette.

This law, I think, in the conditions of Albania, when the KLSH itself has confirmed the abuse by this government of at least 8.2 billion euros, theft and embezzlement", said Berisha, among others./ CNA.al
