The appeal of the Special Court has decided the security measure "house arrest" for the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Jamarbër Malltezi. The decision was taken by judge Ilirjana Olldashi. 

Malltez is accused of passive corruption for the privatization file of the former "Partizani" complex. Meanwhile, the court has not changed the security measure, that of the obligation to appear for Sali Berisha and the ban on traveling abroad. 

After the session, lawyer Genc Gjokutaj said that everything is a political issue. 

"The court announced the decision, approving Berisha, changing the part for Malltez, setting the security measure of house arrest. This issue remains political. It's a scratch, Maltezi has no penalty of any kind. This is the reporting and recording of the proceedings within one day. It is impossible for such issues to be registered within one working calendar day," Gjokutaj told reporters.

Lawyer Gjokutaj said that he will not leave it at that, making it clear that he will appeal to the Supreme Court.

'We will continue the battle. It is a long battle", Gjokutaj told reporters./ CNA
