A quantity of 50 food packages and 1 ton of flour have arrived from the State Material Reserves in the city of Pogradec, following the request made by this municipality following the bad weather situation.

It is learned that their distribution will begin on Sunday morning, for families whose homes were damaged by flooding.

Secretary General of the Municipality of Pogradec, Dritan Babasuli, emphasizes that the process came after the identification of cases and the aim is to provide assistance, however small. 

"Following the work of the Emergency Headquarters, established in the Municipality of Pogradec, after the identification of 62 families yesterday and today, the mayor and central authorities were asked for some help, however small, for the families in need. The State Reserves Agency brought 50 boxes of various foods and about 1 ton of flour, which will be distributed tomorrow morning through the municipality staff. The emergency headquarters, which also includes employees from the Housing Directorate, are working to prepare the documentation for a rental bonus for these families. There are 6 families, where 4 are sheltered by their relatives, one has found a rental, and one is in the process of being resolved", said Babasuli.

Meanwhile, according to the latest information, in the city of Pogradec, 6 families have been evacuated from their homes, which have suffered extensive damage and have become uninhabitable.

Meanwhile, they will be given an emergency rental bonus, until the housing is fully reconstructed from the emergency fund. /CNA
