With five weeks left until the end of the regular season in the Superior Category, the race for championship goals remains wide open, both at the top of the standings, to secure a ticket to the "Final Four", and at the bottom of the table for the survival goal.

The Director of Competitions at the Albanian Football Federation, Marjus Sulejmani, in a statement for fshf.org, spoke about the current situation of the championship, the race for a place in the "Final Four", the fight for survival, as well as the format and dates of the "Final Four" final phase that will take place at the "Air Albania" stadium.

Currently, only Vllaznia has mathematically secured participation in the "Final Four", while several other teams continue the race for the remaining three places.

"There are still 5 weeks left until the end of the 36th week of the championship. Vllaznia is the first team to have secured the "Final Four". The competition is very strong, as there are 5 teams competing to occupy 3 places in the "Final Four". The championship is not only for the "Final Four", as there is also a very strong sports competition at the bottom of the table. The 9th and 10th place fall directly from the category, while the team ranked in eighth place will play a play-off match with one of the teams ranked from third to sixth in the First Category.

This is the third year of the “Final Four”. Unlike the previous two seasons, this year we have a rule change, where after 36 weeks, the top 4 ranked teams will participate in the “Final Four” with halved points, taking the lowest value. The dates are set. The first match will be played on May 16, the challenge between the first and fourth place, a day later the second and third place. Also, the other four matches will take place on May 23-24 and 29 and 31. All matches will take place at Air Albania.

The first four teams after the end of the 36 weeks will receive financial rewards. The first place will receive 10 million new lek, the second place 7 million new lek, the third place 5 million new lek and the fourth place 2 million new lek. Also, the winner of the championship, that is, the “Final Four”, will receive 10 million new lek. After the end of the “Final Four”, the 10 teams will again receive income, which will come from tickets, sponsors and advertising, which will be distributed from fifth to tenth place according to the ranking, as well as a larger percentage for the teams in the first four places”, declared Sulejmani.
