Champions League challenge, Kompany: We are prepared for the best version of

Bayern Munich hosts Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their quarter-final, after a 2-1 victory in the first leg in Spain.

The Germans come with a 15-match unbeaten run in all competitions, while they have won 22 of their last 28 home matches in the Champions League.

Real, although defeated in the first leg, is aiming for an upset and has won 12 of the last 13 quarterfinals in this competition.

On the eve of this duel, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany gave a press conference where he highly praised his opponent.

Kompany said they are preparing for the best version of Real in tomorrow's match.

"I think it was a good result. That's it. Maybe we could have scored one more goal, but we could have also conceded more. We have a small advantage, nothing more. It was a high-level match, difficult and it's not over yet. I'm very happy with the result. And everything we can improve, we'll try to improve.

One of the main things, without a doubt, is that we have a lot of respect for Real Madrid. We felt that way before the game at the Bernabéu and we still feel the same way. We are preparing for the best version of Real, which is the one we saw against Manchester City. Their recent results do not reflect the talent they have. They are still one of the best teams in Europe.

"When we lost to Inter and travelled to Milan, we were 100% convinced we could win. Real Madrid feel the same now. But we also know how to hurt them. I firmly believe we can win. We can talk about everything else afterwards, but I'm not leaving anything else before this," Kompany said.
