Albania girls team convinces against Turkey in friendly

Albania women's team drew 1–1 in the first friendly match against Turkey. In the match held today, November 28, Alma Hilaj scored the goal for our team.

The Albanian team played a very good first half, defending accurately, attacking quickly and showing clean ball circulation. The red and black girls appeared faster and more organized than the locals, who had difficulty finding space due to the compact play of our team.

The team led by Grima quickly took the lead in the 20th minute. After a cross from Megi Doçi in the area, center back Alma Hilaj found the perfect spot and headed home, giving Albania the lead. Even after the goal, the team continued to create good attacking opportunities, but failed to find the net again. The first half ended 0–1 in our favor.

As the second half began, Turkey found the equalizer in the 50th minute, thanks to a powerful shot from outside the area by number 10, Ebru Topçu. The home team appeared more demanding in this half, coming dangerously close to our area several times and threatening the goal.

Albania also had good moments in the game during the second half, but some obvious fouls were not awarded, affecting the pace and development of the actions.

In the final minutes, Albania had claims for a penalty, after Krasniqi penetrated the area and was clearly obstructed, but the main referee did not react and decided not to blow the whistle. The match ended with a score of 1-1.

Albania women's team will play another friendly against Turkey on Monday, December 1st at 2:00 PM at the "Yusuf Ziya Onis" stadium.
