Football modernization, President Duka visits Tetovo: Let's build

Modern football is changing rapidly, from the organization of clubs, to the infrastructure and the ways in which young talents are empowered. It is with this vision of development that the President of the Albanian Football Association and the Vice-President of UEFA, Armand Duka, visited Tetova to build new bridges of cooperation that aim for a new level of professionalism in football in the region.

President Duka was received by the Mayor of Tetovo, Bilall Kasami, while the meeting was also attended by the Administrative Director of the Albanian Football Association, Aldi Topçiu, as well as the President of the Football Federation of North Macedonia, Masar Omeragic, and the President of FC Shkëndija, Lazim Destani.

During the visit, President Duka also visited the construction works for the new stadium in Tetovo, a key project that aims to improve sports infrastructure and provide modern conditions for football in this region.

The meeting also discussed strengthening youth football, developing infrastructure with modern standards, professionalizing clubs and academies through specialized training, as well as promoting joint initiatives that will enable international projects and institutional support at the regional level.

The goal is clear: to create a football ecosystem that produces talent, increases quality and generates more economic and social development opportunities for communities.

"The region has great sporting potential and ambition to move forward. Our task is to build partnerships that turn this potential into concrete results," said President Duka, emphasizing that his position at UEFA opens up new opportunities for cooperation and support for initiatives of this level.

The meeting confirmed the will for concrete joint steps, which aim to bring a new standard of organization and innovation in football in the region.
