Learn the 42 national teams qualified for the World Cup

The number of teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup has reached 42, while six countries are still awaiting the final verdict.

Curaçao is the biggest surprise, having qualified for the first time after a 0-0 draw with Jamaica and becoming the country with the smallest population to participate in a World Cup.

Its coach, Dick Advokat, will set another record, as the tournament's oldest coach at the age of 78. Along with Curaçao, Panama and Haiti also secured participation.

The remaining six places will be determined in March in the "Play-Off" phase, where Europe has four tickets and which includes Albania and Kosovo.

The other two countries will emerge from intercontinental meetings. The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
