Kosovo draws with Switzerland, eyes on the "play off"

Kosovo drew 1-1 with Switzerland at "Fadil Vokrri", in the final match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The first half brought few chances, with Rrahmani being punished early with a yellow card after a tackle on Embolo.

Hoxha registered the first shot on goal for Kosovo in the 37th minute, while a minute later Muriqi attempted a header, but was unsuccessful.

The Helvetës took the lead early in the second half with Vargas' goal, after a quick move by Sow. Muslija equalized in the 74th minute with a long-range shot.

In the end, Switzerland finished the group in first place with 14 points, while Kosovo ranks second with 11 points and will seek qualification for the play-offs in March.
