Lautaro Martinez's injury, answers emerge. Inter loses striker to Barca

Inter Milan will face Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final without their captain Lautaro Martinez, the club have announced after medical tests confirmed a muscle injury in the Argentine forward's left thigh.

The official statement released by Inter states that Lautaro Martinez underwent clinical examinations and was diagnosed with a muscle strain in his left thigh.

Although in theory it is a relatively common injury among professional footballers, recovery within four days, the time remaining until the return match against Barcelona, ??is considered almost impossible. For reference, a similar injury happened to Zielinski in October with the Polish national team and he returned to the field after 12 days. Lautaro will do everything to be at least on the bench, but the chances are minimal.
