Alonso's successor, Leverkusen "picket" Ten Hag

Bayer Leverkusen have begun to consider their future on the bench, should current coach Xabi Alonso decide to leave at the end of the season. According to recent reports from German media, one of the names being considered as a potential successor to Alonso is Erik ten Hag, the former Manchester United manager and a well-known figure in European football.

Under Alonso, Leverkusen's current season has been extremely positive and has attracted international attention, not only for the results on the pitch, but also for the way the team is organised. This has led to a surge in interest in the Spanish coach himself, who is increasingly being talked about as a candidate to take over at Real Madrid in the near future.
