Assassination of 50-year-old man/Here is the investigation trail

One person was injured after a gunshot attack recorded this Friday evening in neighborhood no. 4 of the city of Saranda.

According to the police, the injured person is citizen Th.R, 50 years old. Two masked individuals, who were traveling on a motorcycle, are suspected of approaching him and shooting him several times, before fleeing immediately after the attack.

As a result of the shooting, the 50-year-old man received several wounds. He was initially transported to the Saranda hospital and then headed to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized treatment.

According to current data, the 50-year-old is a well-known name to law enforcement agencies, as he has previously been investigated for various criminal offenses.

The attack took place near the area where another incident occurred the night before, in which a police officer was assaulted. Investigators are investigating whether there is any connection between the two incidents.

Numerous police forces have surrounded the scene and have launched checks to identify the perpetrators, while the investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances and motives of the attack./ CNA
