In 11 months, over 46,000 surgical interventions were performed in Albania

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu announced today that since the beginning of 2023, 46,574 surgical interventions have been performed.

Of these interventions, 12,303 were of high complexity, 17,117 of medium complexity and 17,154 of low complexity.

Koçiu underlines that with investments in infrastructure and modern medical equipment, next year's budget will continue to cover 100% of patients who perform diagnostics, treatments and surgical interventions, thanks to the 12 health packages that citizens benefit from for free.

" From January of this year, over 46,000 surgical interventions were performed, where 12,303 of them were of high complexity.
