Osteoarthritis, rheumatic disease symptoms and treatment

Osteoarthritis is a severe, painful rheumatic disease, the most common form of arthritis and can affect any joint.

Symptoms tend to develop over time. They include:

- Joint pain during activity, after long activity or at the end of the day.

- Joint stiffness is usually felt in the morning or after resting.

- Feeling of stiffness that may go away after movement.

- Sensation of snapping when a limb is bent.

- Swelling around the wrist/joints.

- Muscle weakness around the joint.

diagnostic

Medical history, a good physical examination, and laboratory tests help establish the diagnosis of osteoarthritis.

I make it a point to have the synovial fluid (which is aspirated with a needle into the joint) examined for infection or crystals to rule out other medical conditions or other forms of arthritis.

X-rays (X-rays or x-rays) may show joint or bone damage or changes related to osteoarthritis.

MRI or magnetic resonance imaging gives an excellent view of the cartilage and other soft parts of the joint that cannot be seen on an X-ray.

Traditional medicine

Pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medications for osteoarthritis are available as tablets, syrups, effervescent sachets, gels, creams, or injections.

In general, anti-inflammatories belong to 2 classes; steroids and non-steroids. Both of these classes have many systemic and local side effects.

If we overlap the analgesics, the damage to the organism will increase.

Locally infiltrated oxygen therapy has been used for more than 10 years by prof. Giovanni Barco at the International Institute of Pisa and has proven to be very beneficial for people suffering from arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylitis and intervertebral hernias.

The local oxygen infiltrate directly affects the reduction of pain and inflammation without any side effects.

Unlike other oxygen therapies, local infiltrations of polyatomic oxygen (POI) have been found to be much more beneficial, as they avoid the storm of free radicals in the blood, thus preventing oxidative stress in the body, events that are uncontrollable in therapies hyperbaric because the percentage of oxygen in the inhaled air is 80-100%.

Actually, the treatment with locally infiltrated oxygen helps to repair the joints affected by rheumatic diseases by preventing the degradation of the joints without side effects and without additional costs.

All patients report impressive positive feedback. In 278 patients treated for lumbar, cervical and articular pain, 204 of them reported relief of symptoms with a single session, while almost all after the second session.
