Healthy hair and skin/ The role of fats

The fats we consume play a vital role in maintaining skin health. 

Fatty acids help form the skin-water barrier. 

This barrier helps prevent water-soluble skin components from escaping and helps the skin retain moisture.

Studies have shown that a deficiency of linoleic acid can result in mild scaling of the skin, hair loss and delayed wound healing. 

Saturated fats such as palmitic acid are also necessary for the formation of sapienic acid in the sebaceous glands of the skin. 

Sapienic acid is an unusual polyunsaturated fatty acid required for the synthesis of another type of skin barrier.

Along with ceramides, these fatty acids help maintain skin moisture and prevent cellular damage.

I advise you to use olives, nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, avocados, pomegranates, lemons, kiwis, coconuts, sardines, salmon, eggs in your diet every day.

Give up chips, sausages, meatballs, canned goods, hydrogenated fats, sweets, manufactured drinks and your skin will reward you!

And most importantly, don't provoke him (no fingers and nails on the skin, especially on the face)!
