May 11th elections/ CEC approves regulation for administration and publication

Today, the State Election Commissioner approved the instruction defining the rules for the collection, administration and publication of preliminary election results and approving the documentation templates for issuing results for the Assembly elections.

This instruction aims to improve and standardize the method of collecting, administering and publishing the preliminary results of the elections for the Assembly of Albania, as well as to approve the relevant documentation models used to extract the results.

It defines in detail all the technical and institutional stages for the processing of election data, whether for voting within the country or abroad, through the use of computer applications and guaranteeing the accuracy of the data. It also regulates the procedures for the dynamic verification and publication of preliminary results on the official website of the CEC.

The instruction is compiled in 10 articles, which describe in detail the purpose, the information that the CEAZ and the KANVVJ send electronically to the CEC, the content of the information on the preliminary election results, the conditions that the computer application must meet for the submission, transmission and publication of the preliminary election results for voting within the country and abroad, the responsibility for forwarding the information to the CEC, the method of sending information on the results from the CEAZ and the KANVVJ to the CEC, the publication of information on the preliminary results, the production and administration of model documents for the results, as well as the final provisions.

This instruction repeals instruction no. 4/2021, reflecting legal, organizational and technological changes in election administration. /CNA
