"The opposition has problems with arithmetic"/ Rama: Any alternative

Prime Minister Edi Rama held an election meeting in Dimal today. At this meeting, Rama presented the key achievements for the most important sectors and the challenges of Albania 2030 in the EU.

In his speech, Rama said that the SP does not have a program of wishes to sell in the campaign market, but concrete projections drafted by experts.

Rama accused the previous government of leaving behind many debts with companies and signed contracts.

Rama said that any alternative other than the SP is to lead the country back into the abyss.

Rama added that the opposition has problems with arithmetic, making ironic statements regarding unemployment figures.

"We do not have a program of wishes or a manifesto of dreams that other parties tried to sell in the campaign market. They are projections by experts. We have a governing program until 2030."

We took Albania into a debt that was officially 70%. That wasn't all, we also found hidden debt. The previous government had left foreign companies unpaid. It didn't pay the companies for the contracts.

We have reduced it to a normal of 54%. And in 2030 we aim to bring it to 50%. This was the situation when we took office. The banking system was in danger of collapse.

Albanians were saved from a second loss after 1997. Any alternative other than the SP is to return the country back to the abyss. Even in terms of income inequality, we have entered another stage.

We have the lowest unemployment in historical times. The figure is low, not because people have left. This is because the census accurately showed how much the population is. The figure is measured on the labor force and not on the population. But for the first time we have single-digit unemployment at 8.8%. Those who insist on mocking us for these 3 mandates, we have 1,377,000 employees today.

"We have a big problem with arithmetic, because we went from 7x7?42 to 7x7?6 million dollars," Rama said./CNA
