"Student card invalid"/ Expert: It was made to go to the service

Education expert Ndriçim Mehmeti, in an interview with CNA, spoke about the University Pact, stating that there are legal violations for which no one is held accountable.

Mehmeti said that the Prime Minister declared that by his order, the GNP, which is the inter-institutional working group, would be convened, which in March 2019 was supposed to complete the forgetting of the entire visibility project and the Tirana campus construction project, but it was not done.

According to him, the Pact for the University has collapsed. The expert highlighted that 800 thousand euros were given for the online library, but today it is not active.

He also mentioned the failure with the student card, where he ironically stated that it is worthless since it was made to buy meat and dumplings or to go to the service station, as if students all have Ferraris and have nowhere to repair them.

"The University Pact has legal violations for which no one is responsible. We will build a campus in Durrës, it was not done. The only university in Europe that does not have dormitories. The University Pact crumbled. If we look at the expenses of a student here, they are much higher than in other countries. A young person, even if he goes to the city dormitories, has to pay only for a bed, 70 thousand new lek per year.   

"The government could not achieve the online library, they were given 800 thousand euros, today we do not have it active. It could not make the student card valid, because it was made to go to the clock tower, to buy meat and donuts and to go to the service station, as if the students all have a Ferrari and have nowhere to repair it," said Education expert Ndriçim Mehmeti./ CNA
