Prime Minister Edi Rama held an election rally in the city of Kukës this Wednesday. In his speech, Rama did not hesitate to criticize the opposition for the May 11 elections.

Rama said that Albanians should not miss the train of history and called the opposition a magnificent swamp.

"On May 11, let us become a greater power than ever before, so that we do not lose a single day in negotiations with the EU. A greater power prevents us from getting stuck in the swamp. It would be fatal for Kujtim Gjuzi's mustache to miss the train of history. The only thing that is in that magnificent swamp is Kujtim's mustache. 2027 is a deadline because the history of the EU has shown that its door does not always remain open," said Rama.

Meanwhile, Rama also emphasized some of the changes aimed at transforming Kukës, highlighting urban development and the promotion of tourism.

"Today this is a different city. I know and I want to assure the residents that the project for the transformation of the neighborhoods will continue. The new neighborhoods 1 and 7 require addressing.

Today it is important to say that the premises have been created for Kukës to enter more firmly on the tourist map of Albania. We have a tourist development in Tropoja and just like Kukës was in gloom when we came to power.

"During the fourth mandate, we know that there is potential from nature and the investment of families who have accumulated savings, but the issue of property remains. Law '7501' has not been accepted and properties have been divided on the old border," Rama said./CNA
