"Civil Aviation Academy Launches"/ Balluku inspects Vlora airport: The

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, inspected the construction sites at Vlora International Airport today. Balluku inspected the construction site where the final details are being worked on, a few days before the first plane lands on the runway.

In her speech, Balluku said that this airport is a long distance away and that most of the works have been completed.

"It is built within 300 hectares. The distances are great. The tower seems to be already finished. There is still the scaffolding and that is why it is not visible yet. We also have the facade. We are talking about a great distance," said Balluku.

Balluku stated that work is being done in accordance with international standards and criteria.

"It looks like a small construction site, but they work in 3 shifts. It is the runway of an international airport. The entire situation must be according to criteria and standards that also help with certification. It is work that requires a lot of care," said Balluku.

The Minister said that this airport will also carry out cargo transport.

"This airport has some different features. Leading companies will bring part of their businesses. There will be cargo flights, in addition to people," said Balluku.

Balluku also announced the launch of the Civil Aviation Academy.

"The Civil Aviation Academy will be launched. The capacity will be increased. Many jobs are being created, which is why the establishment of this academy is required," said Balluku./CNA
