The political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has published several invoices from merchants who have raised concerns about the doubling of taxes for stalls at the New Bazaar.

Këlliçi says that this sudden doubling has brought concern to ordinary traders, who are barely making ends meet, but also to their dilemma: to close their stalls or to continue being extorted by this heartless government.

He emphasizes that this is not just theoretical pressure from the greedy government, which surpasses any logical definition.

One of the hundreds of cases that explains this is the doubling of the stall tax for small businesses at the New Bazaar.

This sudden doubling has brought concern to ordinary merchants, who are barely making ends meet, but also to their dilemma: to close their stalls, or to continue being extorted by this heartless government.

Below are the invoices, where it is clearly seen that until recently, the same merchants, in the same space, in the same place, paid 2,550 lek, and now, all of a sudden, they are being asked for double this amount for the same thing.
