Meta from prison asks for votes for the May 11 elections

The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has asked from prison for the Albanian vote for the May 11 elections.

Meta says that May Day has found workers in Albania with the lowest wages in the Balkans and Europe, a factor that has led to the country's depopulation.

But Meta says that the DP-ASHM program will put an end to the drama of depopulation, but will also reward work and working people in a dignified manner, will strongly support meritocracy and will exceptionally subsidize domestic production, guarantee sustainable economic development and an Albania as an exporting power.

"Today, on May 1, all of us can never forget that with their work, effort and energy, workers have an essential contribution to the development, well-being and progress of the country, as well as to coping with the most difficult economic situations that Albania has faced over the years.

But, unfortunately, even this May 1st finds workers in Albania with the lowest wage level in the Balkans and in Europe.

Sadly, even the most qualified workforce leaves en masse, due to poor working conditions, lack of appreciation of meritocracy, and lack of hope.

Poorly paid work, with long hours, without regular contracts and pension contributions, without health insurance and paid leave rights, strips the worker of his dignity and places him in a relationship of exploitation. This is a critical situation, about which the Narco-government does nothing, because it hates and despises workers.

The destructuring of the economy and its focus on towers and construction, which enable the massive laundering of drug trafficking and crime money, as well as the open favoritism by the Narco-government of the extortionate oligarchy, has deepened unemployment, depopulation of the country, misery and social exclusion to the extreme. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been closed, honest business, tourism, agriculture and livestock have been severely damaged and the well-being of simple working families has been severely affected.

With the Greater Albania Program, we put an end to the drama of depopulation, but also reward work and working people in a dignified manner, strongly support meritocracy, support and subsidize domestic production in an extraordinary way, guarantee sustainable economic development and an Albania as an exporting power.

In Great Albania, May 1st will truly be a day of celebration and no longer a day of sadness.
