May 11th Elections/ Celibashi: 171,878 voters vote for the first time

The Head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, in a conversation with journalists, spoke about the amendments approved yesterday to the Electoral Code. Celibashi announced that February 25 will be the deadline for registering parties as electoral subjects, while March 7 is the deadline for registering coalitions.

The head of the CEC has announced that there are 57,098 voters who have reached the age of 18 and a total of 171,878 voters who are voting for the first time.

 

"Lists for deputies must be submitted no later than 60 days before the election date. 140 minutes in total for all candidates on the multi-name list. Financial expenses, excluding candidates, amount not greater than 5 times the amount received by the subject from electoral funds. Candidates must declare expenses, no more than 3 million lek per candidate. February 25 is the deadline for submitting applications to register as an electoral subject.

On March 7, the deadline for submitting coalitions ends. On March 12, the deadline for registering candidates ends. On March 17, the deadline for verifying documentation. On March 25, the deadline for approving multi-name lists ends and the CEC can begin procedures for finalizing ballots if there are no complaints. There are 57,098 voters who will turn 18, while 114,780 voters will turn 18 1 day after the 2023 elections”, said Celibashi./ CNA
