In a statement to the media, Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed the EU with critical language for its attitude towards the recent events in Kosovo, which stated that there cannot be a statement without completing the investigations.

Rama emphasized that if Serbia would at least distance itself from the criminal group and declare the opening of an investigation into the incident, then there would be alignment with the EU. On the other hand, he does not understand what investigations the EU is waiting for.

"We are ready to line up as soon as the statement that we are waiting for, about Serbia's actions and inactions, comes out. Yesterday's statement creates in these dramatic moments where the situation can worsen from day to day or from hour to hour.

I came out to express the very serious concern as never before in 10 years about the dangerous situation in the north of Kosovo.

There can be no other statement without the results of an investigation into how the Banjska event unfolded. If at least Serbia should have distanced itself from the criminal group and announced the opening of a serious and independent investigation, we would have aligned with the EU. Instead of investigating the criminal incident, the Republic of Serbia chose to honor the victims by declaring a Day of Mourning.
