Today, the Euro-Balkan Ministerial of Economy Ministers from the EU and the region is being held in Tirana, which takes place within the framework of the Berlin Process, with the participation of over 20 high-level delegations, where Prime Minister Edi Rama is also part of the meeting. .

The number one of the government stated that Albania is organizing the first summit of the Belrin Process outside the borders of the EU and for this he thanked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Rama recalls that this process started in 2014 with Chancellor Angela Merkel, where for the first time in history the leaders of the Western Balkans sat at a table to debate the future.

Thanks to Chancellor Merkel's initiative, this process was opened and now, according to Rama, a big and cool tree has grown from which we are getting fruits.

He said that the time has come to think outside the box and this is what he will try to achieve at the summit.

"I was reading the long speech that my team has prepared for me, but I have to spare you a boring start to the day. Let me give you words off the script. I am very honored that Albania is hosting the first summit of the Berlin process outside the borders of the EU and I have to thank Chancellor Scholz and the German team who were keen enough to bring the Berlin summit to the region.

Be proud that Tirana represents the region as a host country. I want to remind you that this process started under the auspices of Chancellor Merkel in 2014, where for the first time in history the leaders of all BP sat together around a table, not to argue about the past, but to talk about it their future.

As Chancellor Merkel said in 2014 when this process was opened, a strong and healthy tree has grown and we are getting the fruits, that the tree has grown enough to give us fruits. The time has come to think outside the box, this is what we are trying to do at this summit," said Rama. / CNA
