Theft of e-Albania/Peka data: Internal hacking, Veliaj is behind it

The Head of the Security Department at the Democratic Party, Avenir Peka, in an interview for Syri TV, spoke about the former IT director at the State Police, who was sent for trial today. Peka said that Ervin Muça is a person involved in several scandals.

Peka has stated that Tirana Municipality staff stole Albanians' data from e-Albania in 2021. The Head of the Security Department at the Democratic Party of Albania is convinced that Iranians are not behind the hacking of the platform, but that an internal hack was carried out, behind which Erion Veliaj stands.

" First of all, we are dealing with a character like Ervin Muça, whom I have called a hired killer. Because he is a person involved in several scandals. In 2013, the scandal of the tax directorate server was burned, the server was taken. He was the IT director of the tax department and has a direct connection to that. He was also involved in other functions, including the cadastre, where he made an extraordinary "mess" of chaos. We have the theft of the entire database in 2021 by the SP, where famous patronageists emerged. The data of that database was administered by the staff of the Municipality of Tirana, on behalf of the SP, which was clearly proven, that the e-Albania system, which holds the data of all the Albanian people, was stolen.

After this, the so-called Iranian hack happened, but I am convinced that it was not an Iranian hack, but a hack carried out from within, with Erion Veliaj behind it. But the state police system was also hacked, and I have consulted with experts, and I have concluded that the hack was internal and not external. Meanwhile, tonight we have a case with concrete facts that the IT director, one night, against security protocol, entered the state police servers and tried to hack this information,"  said Peka./ CNA
