The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, shared a message for Albanians today, emphasizing that a fourth mandate of the Socialist Party by 2030 will provide all Albanians with the "European Passport".

Through a video message, Balla draws attention to the experience of Albanian immigrants over the years, who despite visa-free freedom of movement, still face long queues and strict controls at EU borders. He stressed that the European passport will put an end to this situation and put Albanians on the same footing as citizens of other EU countries.

"Every time we land at an airport in Italy, Germany, Greece or anywhere else in the EU for thirty-five years, they point us to a corridor where we have to go to get in line. Meanwhile, Europeans pass through their corridor, without a line, and come out the other side in the blink of an eye. We really don't have visas to move around Europe, but we don't even have the right to stay in a European Union country beyond 90 days. Therefore, when we reach the EU borders, they put us in a queue and interrogate us with police officers, who, while turning our passports over and over, ask where we are going, how much money we have with us, who you are with, who invited you, when you are leaving here, and so on," Balla declared.

Balla stressed that the May 11 elections are crucial for this ambitious project and called on Albanians to support the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama for an even stronger fourth term. According to him, only this majority can make the European dream of Albanians a reality within this decade.

"We can finally close this humiliating story and no one will separate us from the flock of our fellow European travelers. Let's no longer stand in line. Let's no longer give an account to a police officer at the airport about why we are entering an EU country and how long we will stay. We can provide every Albanian with the European Passport of Albania 2030. We returned to Albania and Albanians the pride in our international representation, making us forget the time when the prime minister of that time, ridiculously, did not open the door anywhere," Balla said./CNA
