"Agriculture in the most difficult situation"/ Berisha: DP's plan

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today that the situation with the agricultural sector is very difficult and that major changes need to be made in this area through a political program. Berisha focused at length on the DP's program for agriculture.

In a statement to the media from the DP headquarters, Berisha stressed that the Democratic Party has a plan ready that aims to transform this sector, which according to him currently has a fund that actually goes to the administration.

Berisha listed the points of the DP's plan for agriculture.

Among the main points are subsidies for farmers, an increase in the agricultural fund, bank loans for entrepreneurs, and major investments in the agri-food industry.

"Most of the funds in the budget for agriculture actually go to administration."

Our program aims to support agriculture through these points:

-Subsidy for each sapling planted.

-Increase through the fund by 5% of budget expenditures.

-Increase from 0.5% to 3.5%, as in the countries of the region.

-Exit from the Open Balkans which is hindering the development of agriculture

-Gift card for farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs.

-Oil subsidy.

-Support in priority areas of agriculture, export, horticulture and agro-processing.

-Subsidization of interest rate.

-Bank credit in the field of agriculture, as today only 1% of it is responsible for investment.

-Essential investments in irrigation and drainage, at a high cost.

-Farmer orientation and macro-level market research for farmers.

-Support for women and soft loans, for the introduction of new technologies in agricultural production and processing.

-Financial compensation for production stock from market fluctuations.
