Prime Minister Edi Rama has presented the "Mountains Package" in Shkodra.

Rama stated that those who return to their lands to invest in agrotourism and mountain tourism, the first 500 beneficiaries, will not pay any taxes for 10 years.

"The 'Mountain Package', a new law recently approved, to pave the way for investments in agrotourism and mountain tourism, giving a real opportunity, and special support, to all those who want to return to their ancestral lands to achieve economic success for their families.

Completely simplified procedures and fiscal facilities for the construction of agrotourism, guesthouses, recreational and sports centers. The first 500 beneficiaries 10 years without any taxes. Support for the local economy, strengthening local products. Year-round tourism to exploit the potential of millions of visitors who choose Albania.

'The Mountain Package' addresses the dream and desire to return to the dream of the ancestors, whether from the city to the countryside or from outside to the countryside again.

To invest the savings or funds received there, we have therefore made available a new financing line with a 70% collateral guarantee from the state. Anyone who wishes can use this package.

What is indisputable is that there is not a 100 square meters in Albania where it is not possible to succeed through agrotourism.

"Keep in mind that last year there were 5.5 million visitors to national parks that we can measure now because they are not like they used to be, but they are measurable, some of the parks have tickets, some have instruments to measure flows, 5.5 million are potentially clients," Rama said, among other things./ CNA
