Pyramid is ready to open its doors to all those young people who want to become skilled in digital technology.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during his speech at the Economic Forum of Israel, said that the Albanian capital will return to the epicenter of technology in the Balkans.

"Next month we will officially open the largest digital technology center, mainly for teenagers, aged 12-18, who will prepare for the jobs of the future. It is an iconic building of Tirana, conceived as a mausoleum for the former dictator, which has gone through all phases: from a NATO center, to a club called "Mumja", to a large outdoor slide and an abandoned area, today it is the area that will be filled with youth, jobs and knowledge of the future", he declared.

The mayor said that the most prominent Israeli companies are invited to come to Tirana, even to the Free Economic Zone, TEDA, the first and only one licensed in Albania.

"Today we have also started the works in the Free Economic Zone - TEDA. We are the first municipality, the only one at the moment, that has been licensed by the Albanian government to be the operator of a free economic zone and I am very proud that, in fact, the first companies that have applied and are preparing to receive the permits for it started their silos are companies from Israel, mainly dealing with the transfer of servers of many social networks of the Balkans in Tirana", said the mayor further./ CNA
