Roundtable with business representatives on the draft of the new Criminal Code/

Minister of Justice Besfort Lamallari, Minister Delina Ibrahimaj and the director of the School of Magistrates Arben Rakipi held a meeting with business representatives on the draft of the new Criminal Code.

The news was shared by Minister Lamallari, who wrote that the purpose of the meeting was to address challenges related to economic crime.

" Together with the Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj, we discussed with representatives of the business community the draft for the new Criminal Code. A fruitful roundtable with valuable contributions from representatives of entrepreneurship to protect themselves first and foremost and to further address all the challenges related to economic crime.

Our clear and sole goal is to create the best conditions for private initiatives to develop and for the law to not be violated through tax evasion, smuggling, money laundering, price-fixing agreements, or anything that severely undermines competition in the market.

"I am confident that at the end of this comprehensive and transparent process we will bring to the Assembly a new modern Code, certified by the European Commission, that stands the test of time and regulates new market dynamics ," Lamallari writes./ CNA
