Request for Pelesh's dismissal/Sula: It makes no sense, a role model for

Former Democratic MP, Dashnor Sula, spoke in a television appearance about the opposition's request for the dismissal of Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi.

Sula said that this request does not make sense. Peleshi was described by Sula as a serious man who is a role model for politicians.

Sula stated that the request lacks a main clue.

" Basically, it doesn't make sense that he hasn't completed two months as Speaker of the Parliament, and for as long as I've been in politics, but also during the period I've been there, he's a serious and calm man, a man who is a model for politicians."

I think he is a fair man in everything. I don't believe there are any major indications that there should be an initiative for his dismissal. But political maneuvers are stirring between the majority and the opposition.

"We also need to look at the procedures for how the issue that the opposition is raising with such force has occurred. It cannot happen that the opposition cannot behave as a majority. The opposition must be serious, it does these things when it knows it has the numbers, it knows it is endangering the position of the speaker of parliament ," said Sula.

Former MP Sula also spoke about the Tirana Municipality race, where he said that all candidates have positive and negative sides.

Regarding the race, Sula said it would be good if it were more political. Sula said that so far the candidates with their platforms are walking with the handbrake.

" The bread that is being served to us now is not the best possible. But not the worst either. I see it as something between normality and a great good, for all candidates. Each candidate has their own positive and problematic side that accompanies them. I would like to have a more political race. Not having a strong political platform hurts it. Manastirliu has a strong political side. If we have elections, it is clear that it will be clearer, and from the platform, that so far they have been walking with the handbrake. We need 100% transparency ," said Sula./CNA
