A few minutes before the start of the meeting with the leaders of the Western Balkans and the representatives of the EU, USA and international financial institutions, Prime Minister Edi Rama gave a message.

Rama said that participation in this meeting for Albania is an important step and an opportunity that should not be missed.

He stressed that the Balkan leaders should leave history and politics behind and put the citizens first.

"I must say that this is a very important meeting. We are here to share our thoughts with the representatives of the EU and the US administration about an important step that we need to take in getting closer to the EU.

This is about the new growth plan and integration in the international market, which has been possible until now only for EU member countries.

It's a big change and an opportunity we shouldn't miss. Therefore, it is essential that the 6 countries of the Balkans work together, put the citizens first and leave politics and history for another time. Because everything we can do to get things done in the coming months will determine how our countries will look," said Rama./ CNA
