Lawyer Spartak Ngjela commented on the recent statement of the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, who emphasized that Albanians should no longer look to the past, but only to the future.

In an interview with journalist Bruna Çifligu, Njjela "dismantled" Escobar's words, asserting that this statement clearly shows that the US will never cooperate with the leader of the "Together We Win" coalition, Sali Berisha.

Among other things, he emphasized that Albania is in the moment of corruption and all the politicians are scared.

"The past that Escobar says is disgusting because it is non-women. We will watch whatever the Albanians do. They take this as interference in the internal affairs. Broçkulla. Yes, you are in NATO, sovereignty is limited, for go where you want. This is the action of the Slavs. We are at the moment of corruption. They are scared of what will happen to them," said Ngjela.

Asked if Berisha is afraid of the EU's non-grata declaration, Njela said that he cannot understand it.

"You don't understand anything from the behavior, it's not that calm. You have to see the behavior. You have to control the behavior. They are failed enterprises," he said./CNA.al
