The EU-Western Balkans Summit is taking place today/ The commitment to the integration of the region is in focus

Strengthening the partnership between the EU and the countries of the Western Balkans, including through the gradual integration of these countries in some EU policies, will be the focus of the next EU-Western Balkans summit, which will take place today in Brussels.

On the eve of this meeting, a few days ago, the new president of the European Council, Antonia Costa, had an informal joint meeting with the leaders of the countries of the region, where they also discussed the preparations and expectations from this joint summit.

According to diplomats in the EU, this summit will be an opportunity to discuss concrete cooperation in many fields, from politics, defense and security, to energy.

The fact that the next summit of the European Political Community next year will be held in Tirana is expected to be welcomed.
