The Albanian delegation led by Prime Minister Edi Rama has arrived in Brussels, where the third intergovernmental conference with the EU will be held regarding Albania's integration process.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated in a statement to the media that Albania is on the right path and today another important step for our country will be taken, as a new group chapter will be opened.

The number one of the government expressed that he hopes that by next year the chapters that have been opened so far will be closed.

He described this process as a big step for Albania.

"We are on the right track, our ambition is to open more chapters. Today we will take a new step, we will open an important chapter for our country. We hope that within the next year we will close the chapters that we have opened so far. It is a big step for our country, it is a motivating step for our country", said Rama.

This meeting will be in the framework of the opening of the 6th group chapter that includes Foreign Relations and negotiating chapters:

Chapter 30–External Relations

Chapter 31–Foreign, security and defense policy

The negotiating chapters are divided into six thematic groups: Basics; Internal market; Competitiveness and inclusive growth; Green agenda and sustainable connectivity; Resources, agriculture and cohesion; and foreign relations.
