Poll-Race for Tirana/Who wins the municipality between Manastirliu and

Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the SP Assembly meeting, announced the dismissal of Erion Veliaj, asking the Municipal Council to initiate procedures for his removal. Rama also nominated Ogerta Manastirliu for the Municipality of Tirana.

On the other hand, the Democratic Party, although it has not made any announcements, the most prominent figures for the race are Ilir Alimehmet and Jorida Tabaku.

CNA has opened a poll on social networks, asking public opinion if Ilir Alimehmeti were to run against Manastirliu, who would win the Tirana Municipality?

CNA contacted Ilir Alimehmet the other day and asked him if he would agree to run against Manastirli for the Municipality of Tirana. He replied that there are procedures that must be followed and that the DP decides on this.

"Without a doubt, the DP knows about this. To my knowledge, nothing has been said within the DP in this regard. It will be discussed once within the DP and then..."

Asked if such a candidacy was in his plans, Alimehmeti replied: "We have procedures, we follow procedures. It is not done by imposition from the media. Let's talk about it there and then we will make statements to the media, without question. Usually the Doctor does it, after the Doctor someone else does it."

On the other hand, Ms. Jorida Tabaku, as one of the most voted people on the open list, preferred to remain silent.
